CID is a 1956 Indian Hindi film. Produced by Guru Dutt, it was directed by Raj Khosla. It stars Dev Anand, Shakila (actress), Johnny Walker, KN Singh and Waheeda Rehman and Minoo Mumtaz. The movie was a crime thriller and has Dev playing a police inspector investigating a case. The music is by OP Nayyar and the lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri. Trivia; * Dev Anand and Guru Dutt were friends when they struggled to get a break in films, and had promised each other that Dev would give Guru Dutt a film to direct (which he did with Baazi) and Guru Dutt would cast Dev as a hero and direct him. As Guru Dutt did not direct CID he could fulfill only half his promise. * Guru Dutt had spotted Waheeda Rehman in a Telugu movie and cast her in Pyaasa, but gave her a key supporting role in CID to prepare her for Pyaasa. * Guru Dutt had reportedly gifted Raj Khosla a swanky foreign car after the success of CID. * The choreography of this film was done by Zohra Sehgal-now famous for her 'granny' roles (Veer-Zara, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam, Chini Kum). * The costumes were credited to a Bhanumati, who is better known as Bhanu Athaiya. * Assisting Raj Khosla on CID were Pramod Charavorty and Bhappi Sonie who went on to become successful directors in their own right. * One of the lyricists was Jan Nissar Akhtar, father of Javed Akhtar. * The scriptwriter was Inder Raj Anand, father of actor-filmmaker Tinnu Anand.... Surat Al-Masadd (Arabic: سورة المسد) or Surat Al-Lahab (Arabic: سورة اﻟﻠﻬﺐ) (The Palm Fibre or The Flame) is the 111th Sura of the Qur'an with 5 ayat. It is a Makkan surah. This very early Makkan Surah, though it referred in the first instance to a particular incident in a cruel and relentless persecution, carries the general lesson that cruelty ultimately ruins itself. The man who rages against holy things is burnt up in his own rage. The epithet Abu-Lahab is often thought to refer to the Prophet's uncle, Abd-al-Uzza, one of his most inveterate opponents and other fiery tempered enemies of Islam. His hands, which are the instruments of his action, perish, and he perishes himself. No boasted wealth or position will save him. The women, who are made for nobler emotions, may, if they go wrong, feed unholy rage with fiercer fuel -- to their own loss. For they may twist the torturing rope round their own neck. It is a common experience that people perish by the very means by which they seek to destroy others Muhammad Farooq - محمد فاروق Muhammad Ilyas Qari Karamat Ali Naeemi Abdul Majid Noor Shakir Qasmi - قارى شاكر قاسمى Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi Zahir Qasmi Juneid Jamshed Sheikh Amin Qari Mahmood Shahat Qari Anwar Shahat Mahmoud Ali El-Banna Mohammed Basyuni Taha El-Fashni Qari Hajjaj Ramadan Al-Hindawi Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hussary Mustafa Ismail Muhammad Jebril Mohammed Al-Laithi Mahmoud Al-Minshawi Sayyid Mitwalli Ahmed Nuaina Qari Abdul Basit 'Abd us-Samad Yassir Sharqawi ...

Although Tariq earned a Filmfare nomination as Best Supporting Actor, he and Kaajal Kiran never had such a big hit ever again. This was Kaajal Kiran's film debut, and a critic commented that she was "no Asha Parekh."[2] (Parekh had debuted in Hussain's Dil Deke Dekho (1959) and became a huge star.) The music of this film was given by Rahul Dev Burman for which he received a Filmfare Nomination for Best Music. The music dominated the year's charts. The movie's main claim to fame then is the resurgence of Mohammed Rafi as a top male playback singer. His singing for "Kya Hua Tera Wada" won him the National Film Award ...
